So a little bit about me
I’m a late comer to carp angling, I’ve always been around fishing as my Dad was a very good Match and river Angler but I never truly fell in love with fishing until March last year. I’d done a couple of day sessions and overnighters with my husband but went on my first French trip in March 2018, caught the most stunning little mirror on the second day which was only about 10lb, but I was hooked from that moment on!!
The rest of 2018 was spent mainly fishing day tickets and learning as much as I could. This year my target has been to be able to fish completely independently of my husband. As much as its great fishing with your other half, we both have completely different fishing goals so we are spending our winters on different waters!
My fishing style is pretty straightforward and simple, I don’t really see the point in over complicating things, using a tried and trusted rig and a bait you have faith in will always get results!
I’ve been very fortunate this year to catch a number of pb’s, a 40lb 8oz French common which I got to name BlackHeart, a 60lb 4oz catfish and my UK PB mirror at 42lb 8oz which is a known fish from my previous syndicate called C Scale.
My goals going forward are to just keep catching and to continue learning and improving as much as I can. I want to use the next 5 months on my winter ticket to really put me through my paces and hopefully get me prepared for next year’s campaign on Wraysbury!!
