Started carp fishing as a teenager, quiver tipping luncheon meat for them when I lived in South Devon. Really got the bug when I moved to Holland hunting for them on the canal waterways and small lakes around Eindhoven. That’s where I first started using Hinders Bait products. Became totally hooked after my first visit to France where over the years I’ve been lucky to have caught on venues such as Les Halbrans, Lac de Curton, Lac de Villidon, Bluewater Lakes, Pascale, Cretelakes, Brigueuil and the carp Mecca that is Lac de Cassien.
Most memorable moments are 3. Landing my first Cassien carp, a three fish capture in the space of 2 hours all three over 20kg at Pascale and most of all a week in the pouring rain with my then 5 year old daughter up to our elbows in mud.
