River Severn Fishing for Barbel

My latest fishing trip I fancied a change and a catch up with my Dad, so the Pike rods were packed and we headed off to the middle Severn. Luckily I put a Barbel rod and a bucket of Hinders Elips Pellets in mixed sizes in just incase the river was out of sorts pike wise as we had some heavy rain the night before. After a quiet start and the river on the rise we ditched the Pike tackle and shared the takes on the Barbel front, catching 6 and a couple of chub. Not bad for a cold river and a great catch up with the old man!
