Hemp is FANTASTIC!  The creamy white 'sprout' simply bursts out of the shell. Brilliant results .....fish over a bed of confidence!

  • Approx size 2-4mm
  • Available in 1kg resealable pouch, 2.5kg, 5kg & 10kg

  • Store particle in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight, in a plastic or metal air tight lidded container.
  • Not to be used as a hook bait.

PREP:

  • Simply soak for 12-14 hours in fresh water
  • Bring to a boil and simmer until split (usually 20-30 minutes)
  • It's now ready to use or can be frozen into session packs.

TOP TIPS:

  • Add 3/4ml per kg or Betalin to give your hemp a sweet boost!
  • For chili hemp at 20g per dry kg during the last 10 minutes of soaking.
  • Add 30g of salt after cooking and mix well to really bring out that hemp flavour!

Very dissapointed with this batch of hemp and crushed hemp, the hemp does not split well, despite soaking for 12 hours + and then simmering. I also tried more aggressive boiling and using a thermos but results were all similar. The crushed hemp was also nothing like the quality of previous years, lacking in oil and smell - it seemed like hemp that had been crushed to have the oil removed (for hemp oil possibly) and then the tailings sent for angling bait.
Previous years I have purchased hemp seed and crushed from Hinders and it has been far superior to this. Given the price of hemp I shall only be buying from suppliers that are recommended by others at the time.
Not happy with this batch at all.

Don’t leave home without it

My go to spodmix is Hinders hemp and French mix. This is full of assorted seed and flaked maize which gives a cloud of particles and attractants guaranteed to draw fish in. A must for every outing.
