Saturday I fished on the Silver fish lake at Shearsby Valley Lakes where I drew peg 2 where I fished a simple match by fishing a maggot line short at 5 metres, 10 metres with Tutti Expander Mix with chop worm inside and a maggot line over at 13 metres . Through the day I caught small skimmers on the 10 metre line and Chub with odd Ide on the 13 metre line which was enough for 2nd overall with 12.15 lb.
Sunday I fished the silver fish open at Dog Lane Fishery where I pulled out peg 34, so I decided to fish long at 13 metres with the two test bait mixes with dead maggots, a short line at 5 metres with chop worm and a deep margin line to my right with caster. Through the day I caught well on the long line catching Skimmers with odd Roach and I caught a odd Skimmer on the the 5 metre line as well but best part of the match was the last 30 minutes on my deep margin swim where I caught plenty of Roach plus two bonus Barbel to weigh in 18.5lb for 2nd in match.
