Decoy Lakes Open - Harry Murphy

Decoy Lakes Open on Beastie Lake, I’ve drawn peg 30, same peg as I won off the week before.  I’ve caught on the bomb and pellet for the main part of the match fishing 2/3 of the way across feeding 6mm hard pellet fishing a banded 8.5mm Hinders Boosted Tutti Frutti Pellet over the top for about 120lbs.  

For the last hour of the match I’ve fished my right-hand margin feeding dead reds and micros soaked in Hinders Tutti Frutti Booster Liquid. I’ve caught really well for the last hour with several fish over 12lbs to end the match with 259lbs 10oz for 2nd overall, just 2lbs off the match win 

Bomb set up was a 9ft matrix horizon carp with a 12” .20 power micron hook length and a 14 carp rigger hook. Margin rig was a 4x14 MP1 to .23 power micron main line, .20 hook length, 14 carp bagger and a 14-16 silk elastic.
