Hinders Tares – Versatile Particle for Roach & Coarse Fish
Hinders Tares are a classic particle that consistently score highly with roach anglers, but they’re also an excellent choice for carp, tench, dace, and bream. Their naturally sweet, nutty flavour and soft texture make them ideal for attracting a range of coarse fish. While traditionally used over hemp or groundbait, Tares are underused for carp — a hidden gem for creating subtle but effective feeding areas.
They’re also perfect for hook baits, either alone or layered over a small bed of ground bait, giving anglers a versatile option for both margin and open-water fishing. Add a few milliliters of Betalin to increase aroma and taste, creating a highly attractive bait package.
Key Features • Highly effective for roach, carp, tench, dace, and bream • Ideal for hookbaits or loose feeding • Soft texture and naturally sweet flavour encourage confident feeding • Underused for carp — a smart alternative to standard particles • Can be fished over hemp or groundbait, or with booster liquids
Preparation Guide • Soak for 12–16 hours • Boil gently for 5–10 minutes until split • Cool and use in groundbait, spod mixes, PVA bags, or directly as hookbaits
Top Tip Add a few milliliters of Betalin to your Tares for enhanced attraction and taste — works particularly well when fished as a hook bait or over a bed of hemp.
Available Sizes 700g resealable pouch, 4.5kg bag, 10kg stitched bag

Hemp and tares
High quality hemp and tares purchased.
The tares are a perfect size for roach. Very often tares are too large but not these ones. Out of 4 matches I have had 2 wins and a section.
Ordered 10 kg of the Chinese Hempseed. It is slightly more expensive than other suppliers but the quality was better. Larger seeds that split well after a 24hr soak. If the quality of your hemp matters to you I would suggest you buy from Hinders.
using Hinders pellets and salmon crumb in my solid bag mix for the last 5 years, I had a loat o fish during the years, but this one is special, the “Big Fully” from Manor Farm at Linear Fisheries, at am impresive 49lb.8oz they don’t get better then this this is my PB and I allsp had a 38lb common which is my new PB common!
