Hinders Chinese Hemp is a larger, oil-rich strain of hempseed that’s been carefully selected for its exceptional oil and nutrient profile. This variety releases significantly more natural attractants, essential fatty acids, and amino compounds than standard hemp, stimulating powerful feeding responses from carp, barbel, chub, and bream.

When cooked, the seed cracks open to reveal a creamy sprout that oozes oils and proteins into the water. These create both visual and chemical food signals — a potent combination proven to attract and hold fish in the swim for longer.

The Science Behind the Attraction
Chinese Hemp’s higher oil content (up to 35% natural oil) and amino acid profile mimic the chemical cues fish associate with natural invertebrate and seed food sources. As the seed breaks down, it releases L-arginine, glutamic acid, and alanine — key amino triggers that stimulate chemoreceptors in fish, encouraging them to feed confidently and repeatedly.
This makes Chinese Hemp one of the few natural baits that not only attracts fish visually and by scent, but also triggers a neurological feeding response based on instinct.

Preparation Guide
• Soak for 24 hours in cold water
• Boil or simmer for 25–35 minutes until most seeds split and white shoots appear
• Leave to cool in the natural cooking juices to retain maximum oil and flavour

Add a glug of Hinders Hemp Oil for a rich, nutty slick, or Chilli Hemp Oil for a spicy edge that cuts through cold or coloured water. Both enhance natural food signals and increase bait detection range — perfect for pressured venues or slow conditions.
