More About This Product Whole Maize has been a staple in carp angling for decades. Its bright colour, sweet taste, and crunchy texture make it irresistible to fish and perfect for building feeding confidence. Maize stays firm once prepared, meaning it can handle nuisance species and hold up well during long sessions. When mixed with smaller seeds or particles, it creates a varied feed that keeps carp returning for more.
Preparation Guide • Soak for 24 hours in water • Boil or simmer for 30–45 minutes until soft but still firm • Leave to cool in the natural juices to retain sweetness and flavour
Top Tip Add 5ml of Betalin per dry kilo of maize. Leave for 2 hours to allow the liquid to absorb, then soak and cook as normal. The added Betalin boosts the sweetness and attraction, creating a flavour-packed feed fish can’t resist.
Hookbait Tip Pick out the best, most uniform kernels after cooking and place them in a small tub. Add a splash of Betalin and leave to soak — perfect for creating boosted hook-baits that stand out over your feed.

Used this mix many times and it is a terrific groundbait with small pellets incorporated. Had many big bags of Barbel on the Severn using it and will continue to do so.
A good Hinders product, the wafters are as per the excellent Hinders standards, all in the tub are rolled/formed spot on and that strong Blitz smell is very characteristic. The liquid I've used to very lightly glaze the wafters over a couple of weeks and considering how dense in texture the wafters are the liquid is absorbed very quickly.
