Favourite tactic: Either stalking for carp or cliff/rock fishing!
Carp pb: 34lb
Favourite hinders bait: Nut 365 washed out pink wafters

I first started fishing with my grandad in wales many years ago and have never stopped since! I am absolutely driven by all styles of angling, and although I spend most of my time nowadays carp fishing, I have been all over the country targeting all sorts of species, both fresh and saltwater! It’s hard to pick favourites so I will list some of the most memorable:

  • Atlantic salmon caught on 2lb hooklink and size 18 hook whilst trotting for grayling.
  • A 21lb smooth hound from Sussex, which was very much in British record territory!
  • My personal best 24lb pike caught on a lure.

I would have to describe myself as a true all-rounder, I love the excitement of targeting new species, just a few that i have already caught include:

  • Carp - 34lb
  • Tench - 8lb
  • Pike - 24lb
  • Smooth hound - 21lb
  • Barbel - 12lb
  • Chub - 6lb
  • Perch - 3lb
  • Crucian - 2lb
  • Ballan wrasse - 4lb
  • Bull Huss - 8lb
  • Pollack - 10lb
  • Salmon - 7lb
  • Rays - thornback, undulate and small eye to 8lb

As well as rainbow and brown trout, grayling, other wrasse species, conger eel, big bream, catfish, sea bass, several flatfish species and even the odd goldfish!
