Favourite venue:River Avon

Favourite species:Barbel

Favourite Style/approach:Surface fishing

Favourite Hinders BaitBlitz Boilies - I've caught loads of Carp on them and now added a number of Barbel to the tally as well.

Most memorable sessionHome Pool, Wednesday 28th December 2017: when I arrived at the lake it was all frozen except for the two corners at the bottom of the lake, I nearly turned around and put the kit back in the van but decided to stay and cast my rigs tight to the enclosing ice. The freezing fog was so dense you couldn't see across the lake and the line was freezing in the rod rings but within 45minutes of casting out the middle rod screamed into action resulting in a new personal best at the time in the shape of a 29lb 14oz Fully Scaled Carp...not quite a snow carp...more a frosty fish.

List of PB’s:

I'm an 'all-rounder' that has been fishing for over 25 years - if it swims I will try and catch it enjoying the challenge of fishing for any species on a wide range of venues.

Mark with a Common Carp

Most of my fishing is carried out on quick day sessions due to work and family commitments but I try to get out at least once a week. A lot of my recent fishing has been on stillwaters but I also relish fishing running water usually on the Avon, Thames and the Wye.

Mark with a Bream

My target for the next 12 months is to catch a double figured Tench and Bream.
