Angling Category:All Rounder

Describe yourself as an angler:
I’ve been fishing now for 35 years having first picked up my first rod at the grand old age of three My fishing is very much linked with the seasons, spring is tench time, summer, crucian carp, autumn, barbel and roach, winter, grayling, pike and dace. My time is now limited with a growing family so I tend to plan each trip meticulously to maximise every minute available. Either that or I take my boys along for the ride and get brownie points with the Mrs’.

Favourite Venue:River Wye or my local Syndicate on the Cotswold Waterpark.

Favourite Species:Tench, Barbel, Roach or Dace - I can’t call it!

Favourite Method/Approach:Trotting

Favourite Hinders Bait:Dumbell Betalin Wafters

Most memorable session: I would say catching multiple big Dace on a Tributary of
the Bristol Avon to 1lb 3oz including multiple others to 15 oz over 2 short evenings. Sharing this with my son who was just 5 at the time made it extra special.
Target for the next 12months : In terms of fish, PB Tench and Barbel but most
importantly enjoy my fishing with my friends and family.

Current Personal Best Captures include:
• Dace – 1lb 3oz Bristol Avon record

• Pike – 19lb
• Carp – 27 1/2lb
• Perch – 2lb 15oz
• Tench – 7lb 8oz
• Crucian – 2lb 12oz
