After having a good look around the lake I found a swim that looked right for a few bites and with fish showing I was extremely keen to get set up and start fishing. The first day was slow and I landed only one fish, but as time went on and the fish got on my baited spots I started to catch more and more.

I fished one main spot which I filled in with Nash Scopex Squid Liver Boilies, and Hinders Little Gemz and Mini Combo pellets. I fished a snowman on one set-up fishing a 15mm Nash Scopex Squid Boilie tipped with a 12mm Hinders Pineapple Popz Pop-up with added Betalin. The other was a straight Pineapple Pop-up fished with my pellet mixture all fished in a PVA bag which I cast to showing fish off the baited spot.

My end tally was 23 carp and 4 Sturgeon. Although I didn't mange to get into the bigger fish I did have an awesome time and very much looking forward to booking in another trip.
