A Tale of Two Lakes" Part 1 With Linear Fisheries unusually quiet, deciding where to fish wasn’t easy. We had a 48-hour window — plenty of time to make something happen — but picking the right lake was crucial. After a good look around Oxlease, St Johns, and Hardwick, we finally settled on Oxlease. Something about it just felt right.

This session was split into two parts: Part One – Oxlease, and Part Two – B2 — and what followed turned into an epic hit.

Tactically, we kept things simple but effective. Solid bags loaded with Blitz Multi Mix soaked in glug were the base. We paired that with a mix of Mini Combo and X-Small Elips Pellets, both soaked in a generous helping of Elips Oil to keep the attraction levels high.

And of course, no session would be complete without a sprinkle of the good old supermarket sweetcorn. Cheap, cheerful, and it still gets bites!

The blend of trusted bait and instinctive watercraft made this trip one to remember. Stick around for Part Two, where B2 delivered in a big way…
