I had been struggling to catch anything on my local syndicate water after a gruelling winter. Despite my best efforts, I had zero rewards to show for it. With only 20 hours to spare this weekend, I didn't expect much, especially with the heavy rainfall we had experienced throughout the week.

But to my surprise, after casting out three singles while getting everything set up, I had a bite in less than 20 minutes! Although it was one of the smaller carp in the lake, it was just the positive start I needed.

Later in the evening, I decided to bait a spot with half a bucket of Nut 365 Crumb, Nut 365 Boilies, Little Gemz Pellets, sweetcorn, and a liberal dose of the Nut 365 Glug. And it paid off. Just before first light, I had a savage one-toner, which resulted in a stunning 33lb 9oz mirror.

It was a game-changer. All the blanks of winter were forgotten. The season was up and running, and I was once again a happy man. Both fish were caught on washed-out yellow Nut 365 Pop-Ups, and it was clear that the Tiger Nut-based bait had done the trick.
