Fellow anglers know how frustrating it can be to take a break from the sport, especially when it's due to an injury. But when the time finally comes to cast the line again, the anticipation and excitement can be overwhelming.

After a much-needed break, I was eager to get back into the water and try my luck at catching some fish. I planned my trip meticulously, going straight after work to maximise my time on the water. With only 30 minutes of daylight left, I was determined to make the most of it.

Dan with a Carp caught on Nut 365

As luck would have it, I didn't have to wait long to spot the carp. By 10 pm, I had already landed my first catch - a massive 30-pounder! And that was just the beginning. The rest of the night was a blur of adrenaline-fuelled excitement as I reeled in a total of five carp, three of which were over 30 pounds and the other two in the mid-20s. All of them were caught using my tried and tested bait - crumbed up Nut 365 and sweet corn that had been soaking in the matching liquid.
