Last Saturday I took a trip to Viaduct Fisheries to go and try to qualify for the MAM final for the 3rd year running. I drew 88 which isn’t a great section peg but in fishing you never know. I’ve started fishing shallow on the pole pinging 4mm carp pellets which fishing 6mm White Plum Boosted Pellets on the hook, I lost one in the first 10 mins and that was that. I then changed to the pellet waggler and managed to mug two but only landed one.

I’ve then gone on the long pole on the bottom pinging 6mm carp pellets and fishing 6mm on the hook, I’ve managed to hook another 7 carp but only landed 4. The last half and hour I’ve chucked the bomb with a test wafter on the hook over my waggler line where I’ve continued to feed all match and have landed two carp to finish with 7 carp and 15lb of silvers for 74lb to win the section and come 4th in the match. It’s fished really hard for most, but I’ve booked my place in the final again so happy days, tight lines
