After trying to avoid the bank holiday rush (and other commitments) I got to the lake late Monday afternoon. A couple of laps later found me set up, traps set and awaiting the night to draw in. Over the space of the night and following morning, I had consistent takes every few hours, resulting in 5 carp to upper doubles by 10 am.

After an expected quiet afternoon I added the 6th carp of the trip late evening before an uneventful night and morning other than a tench to finish the session.
All of the action came to a heavily baited area of Hinders Hemp, Chopped Tigers and Mixed Nut 365 Boilies with hook baits consisting of the Nut 365 pop-ups.

It may just be luck, or just that good!

Been using polly’s punch crumb on the local canal for a while now and I must admit I wasn’t sure by the smell to start with but stuck with it. First outing resulted in a great net of roach which could be standard for the time of year, venue and method so gave it another go. 4 bags into my testing and through the different times of year and I can honestly say that I believe that this feed really does help bring and hold the slightly larger stamp silvers. As the conditions have got worse I’ve kept the fish coming for longer then others. It mixes up great through a pinkie riddle or as a slop. My new go to punch crumb.

Good service nice big tigers will definitely use again

Elipse, the best bait on the river!

Elipse are my ‘go to’ bait for my river chub, barbel and carp fishing. The fish hunt these out above all other pellet. Quite simply the only pellet I use for a good reason, they really are the ‘Rolls Royce’ that Hinders claim them to be.
