Hinders Standard Tiger Nuts – Classic, Sweet & Irresistible Carp Bait
Hinders Standard Tiger Nuts are a timeless carp favourite — rich in natural sugars, oils, and that distinctive ‘coconutty’ taste carp can’t resist. The chufa, or tiger nut, is an edible tuber that has earned its place as one of the most popular and reliable carp baits available. Anglers trust them time and again for their consistent results and ability to attract big, confident fish. Carp love the crunch, the aroma, and the flavour — it’s no wonder they remain a top choice for serious anglers.

Key Features
• Naturally sweet, oil-rich nuts that carp find irresistible
• Distinctive coconut-like aroma and flavour
• Perfect on their own or mixed with Hemp, Partiblend, or Buckwheat
• Proven to trigger confident feeding in carp of all sizes

More About This Product
Tiger Nuts have been a staple in carp anglers’ tackle boxes for decades, and for good reason. Their natural sweetness, aroma, and slow breakdown rate make them a highly effective bait that carp actively search out. Cooked until golden and fulfilled, they create a rich, sticky syrup that draws fish in and encourages long feeding sessions. For an extra edge, cook with Hinders Betalin to boost flavour and attraction even further.

Highly versatile, these nuts work brilliantly as part of a varied particle mix or as a standalone feed to target wary or big carp in pressured waters. Carp consistently respond to their crunchy texture and irresistible scent, making them a must-have in any angler’s tackle bag.

Preparation Guide
• Soak for 24 hours in water (optional: add sugar or Betalin)
• Boil or simmer for 24–40 minutes until golden and fulfilled
• Leave to cool in the natural juices to absorb maximum flavour

Top Tips
• Mix cooked Tiger Nuts with Hinders Monster Munga for a multi-seed powerhouse mix that maximises attraction and feeding activity.

• What mix isn’t complete without some good old sweetcorn? Use our Sweetcorn & Betalin Liquid Food to enhance the taste, aroma, and overall pulling power of your spod mix.

Tiger Nuts

The tiger nut hook baits in Betalin were good although l did need to add a bit more Betalin. Uncooked standard tiger nuts , the average size a bit smaller than standard and there were quite a few bad ones that needed picking out .
Service and packaging good

Test run

What a product, 10kg will make at least 20kg.100gram test batch I soaked them for 7 days and then simmered them for 45 minutes, leave them to carry on cooking in the hot water until cold, then I crushed them and soaked in tiger nut extract. I’ll keep some whole for bait. 10/10
