The last couple of weeks have seen me head back to the River Dove with the recent mild conditions. Firstly a session after the Chub using liquidised bread and  Big Cheese Paste, liquid and Barrels. This produced a few fish including a couple of fives.

However on my second visit the river was carrying quite a bit more water so I decided I would be better targeting the Barbel. A few slacks fed with a handful of Elips Pellets and Flatz Pellets in various sizes and I was ready to lower my baited rig and matching pva bag in, after 20 minutes in the first swim I managed my only bite of the session and a December Dove Double was the reward!
