About Me as an Angler
I’ve been on the bank for as long as I can remember, and angling has remained a constant thread throughout my life. Over the years I’ve immersed myself in almost every discipline — from carp fishing and traditional float work to species hunting and specimen chasing. Those experiences have shaped the angler I am today, but my primary focus is now firmly on match fishing.

I’m driven by the technical side of competitive angling: analysing venues, understanding fish behaviour, and making the tactical decisions that keep you one step ahead. Whether it’s refining pole work, adjusting feeding patterns, or adapting quickly to changing conditions, I enjoy the process of solving the puzzle in front of me. I’ve fished some incredible waters and caught a wide range of species, but it’s the buzz of competition and the constant pursuit of improvement that continue to motivate me.

Favourite Venue:Outside of my club waters, Decoy Lakes stands out as my favourite day-ticket venue. The variety of lakes, each with its own character and challenges, ensures there is always something new to figure out — perfect for a match angler looking to sharpen their edge.

Favourite Species:Carp will probably top most lists, and I’m no exception — but if I had to pick a favourite excluding carp, it would be the Gudgeon. A small fish with a lot of charm, and one that brings back the pure enjoyment of simple fishing.

Favourite Method / Approach:Without question, short-pole fishing. It’s direct, efficient, and demands precision — everything I enjoy about the technical side of match angling.

Favourite Hinders Bait:Blitz Expander Mix — versatile, reliable, and a proven winner across a range of commercial venues.

Most Memorable Session:I’ve been fortunate to enjoy many standout days on the bank, but one highlight has to be qualifying for the Guru Commercial Masters Final 2025. A huge milestone and a day I won’t forget.

Target for the Next 12 Months:My goal for the coming year is clear: reach another major final. Consistency, preparation, and continual refinement of my approach will be the focus.
