Describe yourself as an angler: I am an ‘all round’ fisherman , I have been fishing since the age of 3 and it all started on a holiday abroad. I was a bought a €10 fishing rod from the gift shop and that’s when the obsession started. Since then I have explored the world of fishing, targeting specimen predators like Perch and Pike , course fishing at Flaxlands Fishery mainly but also fished a variety of venues around the country ,sea fishing mainly on holidays on shaw and off shaw and my personal favourite fly fishing for quality Rainbow and Brown Trout and Manningford Fishery and Mill Farm Fishery.

Favourite Species:Stocked Brown Trout

Favourite Method/Approach:I have 2 – Floating Fly Line and Pellet Waggler

Favourite Hinders Bait:Nut 365 Range - I find I can confidently use it all year round, using the Expander Mix & Feed Pellets.

Most memorable session:In the Spring of 2022 I returned back to an old estate lake which I used to fish a few years prior but never managed to catch anything, this was up until I returned back and cast a small PVA mesh bag under a tree, as it reached the end of the day my rod ripped off with possibly one of the hardest fighting fish that I had ever hooked into. After a long and intense fight I finally landed the fish, it weighed in at 16lb 5oz and although it doesn’t sound big, that fish meant the world to me because it was my personal best at the time and I also caught it 2 days before the fishery closed down.

Target for the next 12 months: Catch a 30lb Carp , catch a Grayling, catch a specimen Tench
