Me and my good friend Lee decided to have a session on the River Ribble today after seeing the levels were dropping and conditions looking good for barbel . We managed a barbel each, not big fish, but very welcome indeed and was good to get a bend in the rod ,both fish was caught on 4 oz cage feeders on a running rig set up and 3 ft hook links of coated braid . Feeders was filled up with a mixture of Hinders Large Elips Pellets and Mixed Sized Halibut Pellets . The hook baits we used was two drilled Large Elips Pellets soaked in Elips Oil . Hopefully it won't be too long until another Barbel hits the back of my landing until then.
Tight lines Roy and Lee
