This weekend I had to go to Wraysbury to sort out swims for our charity event at the end of the month for “Lucy’s Bowl- Raising Funds for Guide Dogs”.

Jim the bailiff kindly let me fish a couple of nights while I was there. The first night I fished in a back bay between some islands hoping the fish would come in in the morning. By midday the next day it was obvious that they weren't going to turn up, so I got moving and found a free swim giving me plenty of open water to fish.

I found two spots amongst the weed and baited with Pellet Combo doused in Tutti Oil and some new stabilised boilies. Again a quiet night and at 5am I was contemplating a rig change when one of the rods tore off, as I was playing it the rod on the other spot also bent round. The beautiful Wraysbury stockies had found my bait.

I finished with four fish topped off by a stunning fully scaled as I was packing up.Two fish came on XO Carp Pop Ups and the other two on EpiCarp pops ups. Both have been working well for me the past couple of weeks over the new boilies.
