his week I have been fishing the Stafford Moor Fishery festival in Devon where you fish 5 days but your best 4 count then weight if a tie.

Day 1 - I was on peg 14 Pines Lake where I caught 35lb of skimmers for 3rd in my section all caught on caster over Hinders Super Fine Canal Mix and Tutti Expander Mix.

Day 2 - I was on peg 4 Woodys Lake where I had 115lb of big carp for 4th in my section all caught on Hinders 6-8mm banded pellet on the pole at 6 metres and 13 metres.

Day 3 - I was on peg 16 Willow Lake where I fished Hinders micro pellets with Pollys Eazy Expander Pellets over the top at 16 metres for 96lb of newly stocked carp and a section win.

Day 4 - I was on peg 11 Oak Lake where I fished meat down both edges and a shallow line at 14 metres with maggot/caster. I weighed in 144lb of carp for a section win, lake win, match win.

Day 5 - I was on peg 11 Tanners Lake where I fished Hinders 8mm Tutti pellets long at 14 metres and down both margins to weigh in 154lb of carp for a very important section win and 2nd in match. At the end of the festival I have had 6 points from my best 4 days with my day 2 being my throw away result and a weight of 429lb. I have been 2nd overall in the festival from a section full of class anglers and all I can say is it’s been a brilliantly run festival by the owners Paul and Jo who have put so much into Stafford Moor Fishery and it shows by the quality of fishing on offer and well done to all other anglers through the week.
