Ordered MM with Betalin for the first time on line, it arrived promptly in Heavy Duty plastic pouch and once defrosted and opened i couldn't be happier. So far so good. I had intended using it at Linear on B1 but the Carp Cup got in the way of that which forced a move 30 miles north to a water I hadn't fished in 10+ years. It contained large carp but also large shoals of Bream which were known to love the smaller particle mixes so I wasn't sure????Spod or not???
I added boilie to the MM and spodded 10kg out to a silt bed and stuck 2 rods on it. Sit back and wait, see what happens?? It didn't take more than an hour to kick off and I needn't of worried.
10 carp in the net to 25.8 and 0 bream. Topping up the spot after each fish with 3 or 4 spods kept them down on the deck despite the high temperatures and blazing sun.

In such hard conditions bait selection was going to be key, local reports were saying meat was doing the buisness, I didn't even open my meat and couldn't go wrong with all the hinders baits we had, the groundbait ended up holding a whole of Barbel all day in front of us, backed up with both the pellets and mini dumbbells you could say we cleaned up, 20 barbel and 6 chubb. Far from ideal conditions but baits pulled ot out of the bag.
