Describe yourself as an angler: I've been Carp fishing since 1997, starting out on local club waters and day ticket venues, honing my craft through trial, error, and pure obsession. Over the years, I've fished a wide variety of waters – from intimate estate lakes and canals to big, windswept gravel pits – each one shaping my approach and deepening my understanding of carp behaviour and watercraft.

Driven by passion and persistence, I've continually pushed myself to fish tougher venues and chase bigger carp. That journey has led me to some of the country’s most prestigious waters, where I now target some of the UK’s finest carp.

Carp fishing isn’t just a hobby – it’s a way of life. And after nearly three decades on the bank, the fire still burns just as bright.

Favourite Venue:Frimley

Favourite Species:Carp

Favourite Method/Approach: Baiting campaign, effort equals rewards.

Favourite Hinders Bait:Blitz boilies and all of the Hinders Bait particle range.

Most memorable session:There are angling sessions that blur into the memory, and then there are those rare ones that define you as an angler. For me, nothing comes close to an unforgettable bank holiday weekend on Frimley Pit 4 – 24th to 26th August, 2018. It was the culmination of a carefully thought-out baiting campaign, weeks of effort, patience, and planning on a notoriously tricky lake where even a single carp can be a season-maker. What happened during those few days still feels surreal.

Frimley Pit 4 has a reputation for being tough – pressured and full of cunning old carp that have seen it all. Baiting consistently, building the fish's confidence, keeping lines out the water – I did everything I could to stack the odds in my favour.

Then came the session.

Over the three day session I landed 17 carp, with 11 of them tipping the scales over 30lb, topped by one of the A-Team ‘Elvis’ at 39lb 12oz. On Pit 4, that’s not just a red-letter session – that’s what some would consider a year’s worth of captures, if not more.

Target for the next 12months:A Colne Valley non-publicity water.

Current Personal Best Captures include:

  • Mirror Carp - 47lb 0oz

  • Common Carp - 53lb 10oz
