A mixed bag for Damian

Saturday I fished Shearsby Valley Lakes on the Silverfish open where I drew peg 6. I decided to have a line at 5 metres and 10 metres both using Supercharged Margin Mix with maggot or caster fished over the top, and I also had a caster line in the shallow water at 13 metres. Throughout the day I rotated my lines to catch skimmers, goldfish and Ide to weigh in 22.8lb and to win the silverfish match.

Sunday I had a change of venue and went to Lavender Hall fishery to fish on Jason Goymer’s silver fish open, where I drew peg 16. I decided to fish a line at 6 metres loose feeding maggots, also a long line at 11 metres with Supercharged Margin groundbait, fishing caster and dead maggot over top. I had a good start to the match catching big roach on maggot and later on tried my long line where I caught some big skimmers and some more big roach on caster. At the end of the match I weighed in 24.10lb for 5th in the match.
