Been to Lindholme Lakes today for the open on the mighty bonsai. Drew peg 15 which is the end peg with loads of room to your left . Started off at 14m to the right of the peg tapping in micros with a 4mm Polly Expander on the hook, would catch a couple of F1s before you would have to move on to a new line to the left.

With all the room to the left I thought the peg would have got stronger this way, been the complete opposite! Managed to catch the odd small F1 or skimmer but nothing spectacular. Been a few fish topping about 30m away, they just wouldn't come to see me! Did manage to catch 2 carp at 16m to left in open water, missed the keepnet with one of them though . Last hour caught a few small f1s and silver's short on maggots as I just couldn't catch anywhere else.

The lakes fished pretty hard to be fair. Been a couple of 40lb weights to take the top 2 places, I've come 3rd with 32lb so not too bad, just glad the loose fed carp wasn't costly.
